Casually browsing for interesting stuff on mobile.de when I saw this cute little 912:

Yeah, okay, it needs some work, but it seems all is there - matching numbers and everything, and 13.000 Euros isn’t that much for a long hood these days. Warrants a further look!

That’s okay I th... Oh. What’s that with the roof? Oh well, let’s take a look at the interior!

Are those planks there because someone drove it like that? I’m trying to imagine blasting down the Autobahn with the tarmac rushing past like a 160 km/h whetstone. Hilarious yet terrifying - I almost want to do it now.

That is a 912 RS Euro prototype. Porsche’s first attempt at weight reduction.

Porsche 912 Project Het betreft een auto die wat enige liefde nodig heeft, het plaatwerk van de auto is in zeer slechte conditie zoals op de foto te zien is zit er geen bodem meer in, het is een project met veel laswerk!! De auto is een Matching number wat inhoud dat de motor origineel is en bij de carrosserie hoort!

Woah...the F-250 my grandfather abandoned in the side yard 20 years ago is in pretty good shape compared to this mess...I’ve seen 50 year old tin cans that aren’t rusted that badly.

Oh, and you should try giving them a call! Ask in a sincere voice if you could take it for a test drive, and if they think it could pass inspection. Post the answer here!

(And if they allow a test drive: DO IT, and bring a camcorder!)
